Equipment Warranty

Coverage details and warranty claims procedure for all rental equipment.

1. Warranty Period

All rental equipment comes with a 30-day defect-free guarantee from the date of pickup. If equipment is found to be faulty, damaged due to manufacturing defect, or not functioning as intended within 30 days of the rental period, BROTHERSCRICSSHOP will repair or replace the item at no cost to you.

2. What's Covered under Warranty

The warranty covers manufacturing defects and functionality issues for the following:

  • Bat Handle Defects: Cracks, splits, or splinters present at pickup (not caused by use)
  • Bat Blade Issues: Edge defects, surface cracks, or delamination present at pickup
  • Helmet Structural Failure: Broken grill, cracked shell, or strap failure due to manufacturing defect
  • Glove Seam Failures: Stitching defects that cause immediate separation
  • Pad Straps & Fasteners: Broken velcro, loose straps, or fastener failures that prevent normal use
  • Ball Defects: Defective stitching, holes, or loss of shape at pickup

3. What's NOT Covered under Warranty

The following are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Normal Wear & Tear: Leather scuff marks, minor creasing, or discoloration from play
  • Damage from Use: Cracked bat handles from batting, helmet dents from impacts, torn gloves from sliding
  • Damage from Abuse: Intentional misuse, modification, or improper maintenance during rental
  • Environmental Damage: Water damage, mold, or deterioration from weather exposure
  • Pre-Existing Conditions: Damage noted and acknowledged during pickup inspection
  • Loss or Theft: Equipment lost, stolen, or not returned
  • Injury Claims: Personal injuries from equipment use (See Safety Disclaimer)

4. How to File a Warranty Claim

Timeline: Warranty claims must be filed within 7 days of pickup

Step 1: Inspect Equipment Immediately at Pickup

Upon pickup, inspect all equipment for defects before leaving the store. Our staff will conduct a joint inspection with you. Any pre-existing damage must be noted on the rental receipt.

Step 2: Report Defects to Staff

If you notice a defect during pickup, inform BROTHERSCRICSSHOP staff immediately. We will document the issue and provide a replacement on the spot at no cost.

Step 3: Report Defects After Pickup (Within 7 Days)

If a defect develops during your rental period that is clearly due to manufacturing (not use),contact us immediately:

Include in your report: Rental booking number, equipment type, photo of the defect, and brief description of the issue.

Step 4: Resolution

Within 24 hours of filing a warranty claim, BROTHERSCRICSSHOP will:

  • Review your claim and photos
  • Determine if the defect is covered under warranty
  • Offer repair or replacement at no cost
  • Arrange pickup or delivery of replacement item if needed

5. Warranty Claim Examples

✅ COVERED Examples:

  • Bat handle splinters at pickup (not from use)
  • Helmet grill breaks during first use from manufacturing defect
  • Glove seam separates immediately (pre-existing stitching defect)
  • Helmet strap fails to fasten (fastener defect)

❌ NOT COVERED Examples:

  • Bat cracked from batting during rental period
  • Helmet dent from cricket impact
  • Gloves torn from diving/sliding
  • Bat damaged due to intentional misuse
  • Equipment lost or not returned

6. Warranty Claim Disputes

If you disagree with our warranty claim decision, you may file a dispute through our formal grievance process:

  • File dispute within 48 hours of claim denial
  • Provide photos and detailed explanation
  • Our Compliance Manager will review within 7 days

7. Warranty Claim Rejection Reasons

BROTHERSCRICSSHOP may reject a warranty claim if:

  • Claim is filed more than 7 days after pickup
  • Damage is due to normal wear, use, or misuse
  • Equipment was noted as damaged during pickup inspection
  • Customer fails to provide sufficient evidence/photos
  • Damage pattern indicates customer negligence

8. No Extended Warranty Offered

BROTHERSCRICSSHOP does not offer extended warranties or optional warranty upgrades beyond the standard 30-day defect coverage. The warranty provided is the only guarantee offered alongside normal rental terms.

9. Warranty Disclaimer

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY POLICY, BROTHERSCRICSSHOP MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
