- No visible marks, scratches, or discoloration (0-3 marks acceptable)
- Leather/rubber surfaces in near-new condition
- All stitching intact and secure
- All fasteners functional and tight
- Helmet grill and straps clean and undamaged
- Bat handle smooth with no splinters or cracks

Grade B — Standard Condition
Well-maintained equipment with light use marks. Suitable for regular players and practice.
- Light scratches and scuff marks (4-15 marks visible)
- Minor discoloration on leather/rubber (surface only)
- Stitching intact but may show wear at seams
- Light dents on helmet or bat (cosmetic only)
- All straps and fasteners functional
- Structurally sound and safe for play
Price: Standard rate (baseline pricing)
Grade C — Used Condition
Heavily used equipment that is fully functional but shows heavy wear. Budget-friendly option for practice and training.
- Visible wear marks and scratches (15+ marks)
- Discoloration and aging on leather/rubber
- Stitching worn but held (no unraveling)
- Visible dents on helmet/bat (cosmetic, not structural)
- Fasteners functional (may be slightly loose)
- All safety certifications still valid
- Fully functional and safe for competitive play

2. Safety Certifications
All protective equipment meets or exceeds Indian and international safety standards.
Helmet Certification (BIS IS 2671:2017)
All cricket helmets comply with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) IS 2671:2017 — Cricket Protective Helmets. Certifications include:

3. Pre-Pickup Equipment Inspection

- Functional Testing: Test helmet straps, bat handle grip, glove flexibility, pad attachment

- Sanitization Check: Verify equipment has been cleaned and sanitized
- Grip & Handle Test: Check bat handle for splinters; test grip tape condition
- Strap & Fastener Test: Verify all velcro, buttons, and strap fasteners function properly
4. Sanitization & Hygiene Standards
All returned equipment is sanitized and cleaned before being rented to the next customer.
Sanitization Procedure:
- Bat: Wiped with disinfectant solution; handle cleaned with antibacterial soap and water; air dried (4 hours)
- Helmet: Exterior cleaned with disinfectant; inner padding vacuumed and sprayed with sanitizer; grill wiped clean; air dried (6 hours)
- Gloves: Hand-washed with mild detergent; leather conditioner applied; air dried completely (8 hours)
- Pads: Outer shell wiped with disinfectant; padding vacuumed; velcro attachment checked; air dried (6 hours)
- Balls: Wiped clean with disinfectant solution; air dried (2 hours)
Sanitization Schedule: Daily sanitization for high-turnover popular items; 24-hour sanitization for all other equipment.
5. Equipment Maintenance & Care
To maintain quality standards and extend equipment life, BROTHERSCRICSSHOP follows professional maintenance protocols:
Bat Maintenance (Post-Rental):
- Oil the handle monthly to prevent drying and splitting
- Re-grip tape replacement every 50 rentals
- Deep clean using cricket-specific cleaners quarterly
- Store in climate-controlled warehouse to prevent warping
Helmet Maintenance (Post-Rental):
- Padding disinfected and deodorized after every use
- Strap replacements if worn or damaged
- Grill inspection and replacement if bent/damaged (every 100 rentals)
- Stored in padded cases to prevent damage
Glove & Pad Maintenance (Post-Rental):
- Hand-wash with mild detergent after each rental
- Leather conditioning monthly to maintain suppleness
- Velcro replacement when worn (every 30-40 rentals)

6. Equipment Replacement Schedule
Equipment is retired from service when it reaches end-of-life or fails to meet safety standards. Replacement timelines vary by item:
- Bats: Typically 150-200 rentals (~2-3 years) depending on heavy vs standard use
- Helmets: Typically 60-80 rentals (~1-2 years) before structural wear affects safety
- Gloves: Typically 40-60 rentals (~1 year) before stitching and padding deteriorate
- Pads: Typically 50-80 rentals (~1-2 years) before padding compression reduces protection
- Balls: Typically 20-30 matches (~6 months) before losing shape/stitching fails
7. Quality Assurance Process
BROTHERSCRICSSHOP employs a continuous quality assurance system to maintain high equipment standards.
Daily QA (Performed Every Day):
- Quick inspection of all returned items during check-in

8. Defective Equipment Handling
