Last Updated: March 18, 2026. These terms govern all equipment rentals made
through the BROTHERSCRICSSHOP platform, in-store, or over phone bookings.
Rental Terms and Conditions
By booking cricket equipment from BROTHERSCRICSSHOP, the renter ("Customer") agrees to the
following terms:
- Eligibility: The renter must be at least 18 years of age. For players under
18, a parent or legal guardian must complete the booking, provide ID, and sign the rental
agreement on their behalf.
- Equipment Use: Equipment is strictly for cricketing purposes (practice,
coaching, or matches). Commercial sub-renting of our equipment is strictly prohibited.
- Booking Modification: Bookings can be extended subject to availability.
Extension requests must be made at least 12 hours before the original return time.
- Payment: The full rental fee and the refundable security deposit must be
paid in full before or at the time of equipment pickup/delivery.
SAFETY & LIABILITY DISCLAIMER (CRITICAL)
ASSUMPTION OF RISK & INJURY WAIVER:
Cricket equipment rental carries inherent risks of injury from improper use, equipment failure, impacts during play, or accidents.
BROTHERSCRICSSHOP is NOT liable for any injury, illness, or death resulting from the use of our equipment.
- Assumption of Risk: By renting our equipment, you voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks associated with cricket equipment use.
- No Injury Insurance: Our rental equipment does NOT include personal injury insurance or accident coverage. You are responsible for obtaining your own coverage if needed.
- Proper Use: You agree to use equipment in strict accordance with cricket sport guidelines and manufacturer recommendations. Misuse, modification, or improper maintenance voids liability coverage.
- Equipment Inspection: You MUST inspect the equipment immediately upon pickup and report any defects or damage to staff within 2 hours. Using damaged equipment is at your own risk.
- Pre-Existing Conditions: If you have any physical condition (asthma, shoulder injury, etc.) that could be affected by equipment use, consult a medical professional before renting.
- Helmet Safety (BIS Certified): Our helmets meet BIS standards for cricket use. However, improper fit, impact from fast bowling, or defects during manufacture could result in injury. Always inspect helmet fit before use.
- Bat Quality Variance: While we maintain high-grade bats, wood-based equipment can crack, splinter, or fail unexpectedly. We are NOT liable for injuries from bat defects.
By proceeding with rental, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclaimer and accept all inherent risks of cricket equipment use.
Security Deposit Policy
To secure our professional-grade equipment, BROTHERSCRICSSHOP requires a fully refundable
security deposit on all rentals.
- Deposit Amount: The deposit amount varies based on the value of the
equipment (e.g., ₹2,000 for an English Willow bat, ₹4,000 for a full kit). Exact amounts are
displayed on the product pages and in the cart.
- Hold Conditions: The deposit is held for the duration of the rental period
and serves as security against delayed return, damage, excessive wear and tear, or loss.
- Settlement Timeline: Upon timely return and successful inspection of the
equipment, the deposit is refunded fully. UPI/Cash deposits are refunded instantly. Card
refunds may take 2-4 business days depending on the banking partner.
Damage and Loss Policy
We understand that normal match wear and tear (like cricket ball marks on bats or pads) will
occur. However, structural damage or loss is the responsibility of the renter.
- Normal Wear & Tear: Ball scuff marks, minor grip wear, or dirt are
considered normal and incur no penalty.
- Significant Damage: Toe breakage on bats due to yorkers, cracked helmet
grills, torn glove seams, or split pads will result in deductions from the security deposit.
The deduction amount is determined by the repair cost.
- Complete Loss/Irreparable Damage: If an item is lost, stolen, or damaged
beyond repair (e.g., bat snapped in half), the Customer is liable for the full replacement
cost of the item at its current market value. The security deposit will be forfeited, and
any remaining balance must be paid by the Customer.
Late Return Policy
Timely returns are critical as our gear is often booked back-to-back by other players and
academies.
- Grace Period: We offer a 2-hour grace period beyond the scheduled return
time.
- Extra Rental Charges: Returns past the 2-hour grace period will be charged
an additional full day's rental fee for every 24 hours delayed. These charges will be
deducted from the security deposit.
- Failure to Return: If equipment is not returned within 48 hours of the
agreed time without any communication, it will be considered lost/stolen. The deposit will
be forfeited and legal action may be initiated to recover the asset value.
Pickup and Return Policy
- Store Pickup: Customers must pick up the equipment from our Jaipur store
during business hours (09:00 - 18:00, Mon-Sat).
- Inspection Protocol: Both the BROTHERSCRICSSHOP staff and the Customer must
mutually inspect the gear at the time of handover and note any pre-existing marks or issues
on the rental ticket.
- Cleaning: While we sanitize gear entirely, we request customers to wipe off
excessive mud/dirt before returning.
- Delivery Options: Delivery and pickup to grounds/academies in Jaipur is
available for bulk/kit orders over ₹1,500 at an additional logistics charge.
ID Verification Policy
For inventory security, we maintain strict identity verification protocols.
- Required Documents: Every renter must provide a highly legible, original
copy of a Government-issued Photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Driving License, or Passport).
- Address Proof: The ID used must contain the current residential address of
the renter.
- Verification Process: Our staff will verify the ID physically at the time
of pickup. We do not retain the original document. A photocopy/digital scan will be securely
kept purely for the duration of the active rental and deleted post-return.
Privacy Policy
BROTHERSCRICSSHOP is committed to protecting your personal data.
- Data Collection: We collect only necessary information (Name, Phone Number,
Email, Address, and ID Proof scan) solely to facilitate the rental transaction, manage
deposits, and prevent fraud.
- Data Usage: Your phone number and email are used exclusively for booking
confirmations, pickup/return reminders, and deposit settlements. We will never sell your
data to third-party marketers.
- Record Handling: ID proof scans safely stored in our offline system are
permanently deleted within 7 days of successful equipment return and deposit settlement.
